All the New Features of the Redesigned G Series Casting Machines
The redesign of the G Series was carried out bydirectly listening to the needs of professional jewelers and casters, who over time have indicated the need for machines capable of quickly reaching pouring temperature while remaining stable and reliable in managing casting parameters. Taking these requests into account, we have designed specific solutions that address:
- Heating ramp speed: The time required to reach the set melting temperature has been significantly reduced, thanks to more efficient management of the power delivered by the induction generator. This improvement is particularly useful for operations that must manage many melting cycles throughout the day.
- PID temperature control: The new digital control system maintains the molten metal’s temperature within an extremely narrow range, preventing overheating and ensuring a consistently stable pour, regardless of the type and quantity of alloy used.
- Low-frequency induction control: Optimizing the operating frequency ensures uniform mixing of the molten material. This improves the metallurgical quality of the final casting.
- More Efficient Overpressure: Overpressure control during the casting phase has been refined to facilitate rapid and uniform metal flow into the mold, resulting in reduced porosity in precious metal castings.
The refinement of the combined management of vacuum and overpressure proves to be a winning development, particularly for the jewelry sector, as it guarantees significant advantages in the processing of gold and silver. Thanks to improved pressure control, the molten metal can flow more smoothly into every cavity of the mold and compact more effectively, significantly reducing the risk of air inclusions or surface cracks. This significantly reduces scrap and finishing times, since the parts produced in this way require fewer corrective actions.
Before the redesign, the G Series casting machines could achieve performance comparable to today’s levels only by relying on longer stabilization times and requiring greater operator intervention. The updated control software now allows the machine to automatically adjust power and frequency based on the type and quantity of alloy loaded into the crucible, reducing human error and making digital control of the melting temperature accessible even to less experienced operators.
Hardware and Software Upgrades to Support Higher Performance
The redesign of the G Series casting machines has not only focused on their technological core but also on their exterior, which has been redesigned to be more compact, ergonomic, and easy to clean. The new design facilitates routine maintenance, while on the software side, the layout of the controls on the touchscreen has been redesigned to make the interface intuitive. Metal loading into the crucible has also been optimized, as has access to the melting chamber, to speed up the operations preceding each casting cycle.
